Hi everyone!
I am so glad I found this forum all the way from Australia! I'm step mum to two beautiful children SD14 & Ss12. I have been in their lives for 10 years. Hoping the journey would get easier but haven't got there yet. What I have found though since listening to the podcast is to block BM out. I no longer deal with her due to the way I have been treated the last 2 years, my husband does all the contact and my mental health is so much better for it.
I love that there is a space for step mums to connect with other step mums as it makes me feel less alone in my journey and finally find people that fully understand what I am going through.
Hi from Australia also. I just came across this site today, I have only just listened to an episode of the podcast on step-parenting a neuro diverse child. I have 2 stepsons, 10y and 6y (Autistic). It's been a rollerocaster and isolating. I have struggled to really work out how I am feeling in all this, it's confusing and complex.
I want to post under the Neurodiversity forum category but can't seem to find a way to start off the forum. I can't see the post option on my desktop haha.
Hi Mel! I’m so glad you have found us!
It’s great that the podcast has helped you and that you are no longer shouldering all the responsibility!
If you have any tips do share them!
