Hi all. Iāve listened to Katieās podcast and it was a true lifesaver at times- I canāt believe I didnāt know about the forums!! Iām Genevieve (Gen) and I live near Birmingham with my 2 SKs (SD6 and SS8) and weāve all been under 1 roof for just under 2 years, however theyāve been in my life for 4 years now. We have them just over 50% of the time (by 1 extra night/ morning over a 14 day period, depending on how you work it out). Before moving here I lived close to friends and family and sadly lost my mum just after moving, so Iām always very grateful for any stepmum friends who just āget itā! Itās a hard gig out there for us and am happy to support in any way I can xx

I am so glad I came across the podcast and now the forums. I felt so alone with my feelings as none of my friends are in the same position as me so donāt understand the cr@p I have gone through over the last 10 years. After listening and reading stories I know Iām not alone and I can see that the things I have gone through a lot of step mums have gone through exactly the same thing.
