Your Calm Christmas
A therapeutic workshop for stepmums who want to protect their peace this festive season and get the Christmas they really want!

Christmas in a stepfamily can feel like a delicate balancing act — plans, expectations, emotions, and loyalties all pulling in different directions. You’re often the one holding it all together, yet somehow left out of the picture.
This workshop is designed to change that.
Over three hours, you’ll join a small group of stepmums for a live, therapeutic experience that blends individual reflection, group coaching, and guided breakout sessions. You’ll have space to explore your own challenges and hopes for Christmas, while connecting with others who truly understand the emotional complexity of blended family life.
Whether you feel like speaking up or simply want to listen and soak up the support, you’ll be held in a safe, non-judgmental space. You can share as much or as little as feels right.
Together, we’ll gently unpack the most common festive flashpoints — from gift imbalances and last-minute plan changes to travel stress, emotional exclusion, and navigating tricky dynamics with your partner or his ex.
You’ll also build your personalised Calm Christmas Plan — a therapeutic survival guide that puts your wellbeing, boundaries, and emotional clarity at the centre.

Being with people who understood the challenges, where you could speak completely openly and where whatever you said felt understood, meant so much in a world where it so often feels the opposite.
Having the time and space to work with Katie on specific exercises directed at helping us with our individual issues was so useful, to give clarity to thoughts and feelings and to take away ideas and approaches that I know will help throughout the rest of my step-mum journey

Joining Katie’s workshop is the best thing I’ve done to help with my Stepmum anxiety. Getting to speak to women in the same situation and support each other has made me so much more happy and confident!I feel less alone and I’ve got this support network who actually gets what it’s like!
Nikki, Twickenham
I've had counselling in the past but nobody has been able to explain how my mind works and help me shift my thought patterns like Katie. The workshop really was amazing!
FAQs
What exactly is the Calm Christmas workshop?
It’s a live, therapeutic workshop designed specifically for stepmums who want to feel calmer, clearer, and more in control during the festive season. Created and led by Katie — a highly experienced stepfamily specialist — this session blends psychological insight with practical tools you can actually use.
Over three hours, you’ll take part in guided reflection, group coaching, and small breakout sessions. You’ll leave with a personalised Calm Christmas Plan: a survival guide tailored to your emotional needs, boundaries, and values.
Is this just another webinar?
Not at all. This isn’t a passive webinar or a lecture. It’s a deeply engaging, therapeutic experience rooted in psychological theory — including Polyvagal Theory, values-based planning, and nervous system regulation. You’ll be actively involved in journaling, reflecting, and building a plan that’s truly yours.
Do I have to speak or share?
No — you’re welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for you. Some people speak, some listen, some write quietly. You’ll never be put on the spot, and you’ll always be held in a non-judgmental, emotionally safe space.
My situation is really unique — will it help me?
Absolutely. Every stepfamily is different, and this workshop is designed with that in mind. Whether your stepchildren are young or grown, whether you’re close or still finding your rhythm, whether your partner’s ex is actively involved or no longer in the picture — you’ll be supported here.
There is no 'normal' stepfamily and the workshop has been carefully designed to ensure that everyone can benefit, no matter how your family is structured or how your story unfolds.

🛠️ Practical tools to handle tricky moments: Scripts, strategies, and emotional regulation techniques for when you feel overwhelmed, sidelined, or stuck in people-pleasing mode.

Optional follow-up resources (at a discounted rate)
Will there be a recording?
No — to protect the privacy and emotional safety of participants, the workshop is not recorded. This allows everyone to show up fully and authentically.
Is this therapy?
While the workshop is rooted in therapeutic principles and led by an ANIMAS qualified practitioner, it is not a substitute for individual therapy. It’s a supportive, psychoeducational space designed to help you reflect, regulate, and plan with intention.
I’m not sure if this is for me…
If Christmas often leaves you feeling overwhelmed, invisible, or emotionally stretched — this is for you. You don’t need to be “in crisis” to benefit. You just need to want something gentler, clearer, and more aligned with who you are.
Can I bring my partner?
This workshop is intentionally designed as a space for stepmums only. It’s a conscious choice to focus solely on your experience — without needing to explain, translate, or soften it for anyone else.
That said, if you’re interested in exploring these dynamics together, Katie also offers couples coaching. It’s a separate service designed to support both partners in navigating stepfamily life with clarity and compassion. Feel free to get in touch if that’s something you’d like to explore or book a free intro here.
What experience does Katie have?
Katie is a leading stepfamily specialist, with over 15 years of experience coaching, mentoring, and delivering workshops. She’s also been a Stepmum for more than a decade — so she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to everything she teaches. She is an ANIMAS qualified transformational coach and her work is informed by psychological theories, emotionally intelligent, and deeply practical.
Can I join from abroad?
Yes, absolutely — you can join from anywhere in the world.
The Calm Christmas workshop is held live on Zoom, so as long as you have a stable internet connection and can make the time work for your time zone, you’re warmly welcome. We’ve had stepmums join from all over — Australia, Canada, the US, Europe — and the space is designed to be inclusive, supportive, and accessible no matter where you’re based.
Just keep in mind the session runs on UK time (GMT), so you may want to double-check how that translates for you before booking. If the timing doesn’t work, you can always join the waitlist for future dates or grab the Christmas Workbook to work through the exercises at your own pace.
