Specialist support that understands the emotional realities of stepfamily life.
There’s a particular kind of anxiety that’s hard to explain...
It’s not just the hard weekends.
It’s the half of the week you spend gearing up for them. And the other half coming down from them.
It’s the thoughts that arrive in the quiet, in the car, doing the washing up, that you have nowhere useful to put.
It’s the way you’ve slowly stopped being fully yourself inside your own home, and the fact that you’re not sure when that happened.
Somewhere along the way, stepfamily life started taking up far more of you than you meant it to.
The Reset is the place to stop and work out what’s happened to you inside it.
The Stepmum Reset is for when stepfamily life has taken up so much space that you’ve quietly lost sight of yourself inside it.
Across two small-group sessions, you’ll make sense of why this role has affected you so much, reconnect with what matters to you, and get clearer on what you need to start feeling more like yourself again.
Next group: 15 & 22 September, 7:30–9pm UK time

-
The resentment you don't say out loud.
-
The exhaustion you can't quite explain to anyone who isn't in it.
-
The guilt about the resentment.
-
The way you've slowly started adjusting yourself, what you say, what you ask for, how much of yourself you bring into the room, until you're not quite sure who you are inside all of it anymore.
From the outside, things probably look fine.
But something has shifted. And you know it.
The Stepmum Reset is two evening sessions, online, with a small group of women who already get it.
Across those two sessions, we slow things down, make sense of what this role has been doing to you, and get clearer on who you are, what matters to you, and what you need now.
This is for you if:
-
Stepfamily life is taking up far more headspace than you ever expected
-
You spend time in imaginary conversations: things you want to say, arguments you'll never have, that go round and round and get you nowhere
-
The anxiety starts before they've even walked through the door
-
You've been adjusting yourself for so long you've lost track of who you actually are in this
-
You've spent so much time thinking about what everyone else needs that you're not even sure what you need anymore.
-
You feel guilty, resentful, exhausted, and then guilty about all of that
-
You haven't said any of this out loud, because you're not sure anyone would understand without a very long explanation
-
You don't need to be at breaking point to come. You just need to be tired of carrying it alone.
The stepmums I work with aren't struggling because there's something wrong with them.
They're living inside a family system with competing loyalties, unclear roles and dynamics they didn't create.
Once you understand that, a lot of what you've been blaming yourself for starts to make considerably more sense.
Claire, Surrey
“Sitting with a group of women who actually understood what it was like without me having to explain was amazing. It felt like a huge weight had been lifted off.”
Here is what women say after doing this work.
These aren't transformation stories. They're the first signs of something shifting. Which is exactly what the Reset is for.
"I feel a bit less crazy. Less alone. A bit more grounded."
"I could actually imagine myself not dreading their arrival."
"Comforted is probably the best description for how I feel. I'm not going crazy. It isn't me."
"It's opened my eyes up in a different way. I was looking at everything completely wrong."
What happens in the room?
What most women talk about afterwards isn’t actually the content.
It’s the moment early in the first session when someone says the thing they’ve been carrying alone, and everyone else already knows exactly what she means.
You don’t have to explain yourself here.
You don’t have to qualify it, justify it, or translate it for someone who isn’t in it.
You just have to show up.
For a lot of women, that’s rare. And it changes something.
Session one — Where did I go?
We start with your values. Not as an exercise, as a real conversation about what matters most to you, and where stepfamily life has been quietly pulling you away from it.
When something lands badly: a comment, a weekend, a moment that shouldn't matter but does, it's almost always because something important to you is being threatened.
Naming that changes how you understand your own reactions. They stop feeling like character flaws and start making complete sense.
Most women leave this session feeling one thing above everything else. Relief.
Session two — What Do I Want Back?
Not what you think you should need.
Not what would make everyone else's life easier.
What you actually need.
Once you can see where you've been losing yourself, we turn the attention towards what you want more of now.
-
What have you stopped asking for?
-
What have you been telling yourself you shouldn't need?
-
What part of yourself do you want back?
By the end of the second session, you'll have a much clearer sense of what you need to feel more like yourself again — and what you don't want to keep losing to this role.
After both sessions you'll receive your personal Reset Record: a written reflection capturing what you came in carrying, what you've understood about yourself, what matters to you, and what you want to remember when stepfamily life starts taking over again.
The Reset is about understanding what has happened to you inside this role and reconnecting with yourself.
If you already know what's happening but want help changing the patterns (the overthinking, walking on eggshells, over-functioning, boundaries and emotional spirals) that's what Back In Control is for.
Some women move into Back In Control afterwards. Some find the Reset is exactly what they needed.
You'll Leave With...
-
A clearer sense of who you are outside the stepmum role, and what matters to you
-
An understanding of where you've been slowly adjusting or losing parts of yourself
-
More understanding of why certain parts of stepfamily life affect you so deeply
-
Clarity on what you actually need, not what you think you should need
-
A sense of what you want more of, less of, and back for yourself
-
Your personalised Reset Record to come back to when stepfamily life starts taking over again
-
A small group of women who understood without needing the long explanation
Lucie, Manchester
“I learnt so much about why stepmotherhood had made me lose parts of myself, and what I needed to get them back. ”
Why a small group?
Because being understood without having to justify yourself first is its own kind of relief.
The groups are small enough that everyone has space to speak (if they want to.) Some women speak up a lot. Some listen for most of the first session and open up in the second. Both are completely fine.
The groups are intentionally small enough for real conversation. Not just listening. You're not attending a webinar.

A few things people ask
Q: Do I need to share a lot in the group?
A: No. You share as much or as little as feels right. Some women talk throughout. Some listen for most of the first session and open up in the second. Both are completely fine. There is no pressure.
Q: What if I can't make one of the sessions?
A: The sessions build on each other so attending both gives you the full experience. If you can't make both the sessions the materials will be shared. Please note recordings aren't shared.
Q: Do I need to be in crisis to come?
A: No. The women who get the most from the Reset aren't always the ones in the most difficult situations. They're the ones who've been quietly managing it for long enough that they've stopped expecting it to change. You don't need to be at breaking point. You just need to be ready to look honestly at what's going on.
Q: Is this therapy?
A: No. This is coaching, psychologically informed, stepfamily-specific, and focused on clarity and practical insight rather than clinical treatment. If you're currently in crisis or need therapeutic support, I'd encourage you to seek that alongside or instead of this.
Q: I'm not sure this is the right level of support for me.
A: Book a free 15-minute clarity call with me before you commit to anything. No pressure. Just a conversation.
Q: What comes after the Reset?
A: Back In Control is my deeper six-week programme for women who want to take what they've understood and start changing the patterns in real life — the overthinking, eggshells, emotional spirals, boundaries and over-functioning.
You don't need to do Back In Control after the Reset. But if the Reset helps you see what needs to change and you want support actually changing it, that's the next step.
If you've been holding this quietly, the exhaustion, the resentment, the thoughts you don't say out loud, this is the place to put it down for a moment.
Look at it. Understand it. Leave knowing yourself a little better than when you arrived.
15th and 22nd September. Two evenings. Small group. Online.
Spaces are limited. I won't be running the Reset again until 2027
