Oh that sounds really tough and so unfair on you. It really is such a different and personal journey for all isn't it?

Yes, this is so true. It's definitely about what is right for you and your family. I think for me it's a little different as I knew my husbands late wife, she was a friend, so her pictures up is nice for me in many ways as much as it is for the children. I think you're so right though about being honest about your feelings and not always doing what is right for everyone else.

We still have lots of them up, I feel it's important for the children, they show a timeline. We've just added ours in to the mix too. I think it will be easier for the baby to understand the past too when he's older if he can see the past in pictures. What are you planning to do? Yes, definitely! I spent a long time feeling guilty that for me to be happy, someone has died and there's been a huge amount of pain for everyone involved. And yes so much change, and there's very little time to have time alone/as a couple and regroup and focus on your relationship, I think that makes it hard. And you never want to step on anyone's toes. It is such a tough situation!

Oh yes! This is me! I'm married to a widower, we have his 2 stepchildren (her children) and their son, and now a baby together too, so a funny old mish mash of a household. It would actually be lovely to connect with anyone who wants to talk :)
