@stepmumspace thanks for your advice. We have now picked a great outfit for my stepdaughter and we’re all really happy with it. Phew! I was definitely over thinking it. We ended up having a really fun ’trying on’ session with my nieces and two of my sisters in law so it made the decision easier as we were doing it as a group, and all the grown ups saw there was a clear winner outfit! The ex opinions about our wedding are quiet for now so we’re enjoying the calm before it ramps up again!

I would go back to the lawyer who handled the divorce and ask for advice. If custody was part of the divorce settlement then I am sure your partner will have rights.
